Hooray For Hollywood! ~ Part 1

Some of you may remember that back in May, at the Remarkable Moms Celebration Live Auction, my incredible man bought a weekend at a Hollywood mansion for "his girls."  Well, we just cashed in on that fabulous prize!

Joining me and our girls, were our Phoenix "second family," the Roach women.  We flew out of Tucson on September 11th (yes, I was a little nervous and security was at a high) for LAX.

We needed a vehicle to accommodate 6 women and all their "stuff."  Enter, the Dodge Caravan ~ courtesy of our wonderful traveling friends.  Just how were we going to get all that baggage and Chairese the wheelchair into the van???  Vera Bradley duffle bags to the rescue!!

Our pilot for the weekend, Shotzie
Since we had a 3:00 p.m.  check in time at the mansion and our plane landed 8:00 a.m., we had time to kill....So, we headed off to
the The Grove and The Farmers Market!

Tourist Angel (that's us!)
Stopping for some cafe and breakfast....
Then on to some retail therapy!
Hmmmmm ~ could be inspiration?
Lunch at Umami ~

And a little sweet dessert at Monsieur Marcel's

Can you say, "Peanut Butter and Jelly Macaroon?"
Before we knew it, time had come to find our "prize" ~ this fabulous 1921 Hollywood mansion....
In our neighborhood we discovered Liberace's home...

And Jerry Seinfeld's home...

We finally arrived ~ Home Beautiful Home!

I'll have to show you sections of the exterior since I was backed up across the street and was in danger of trespassing!!  And they don't mess around in this 'hood!

And for you hardware aficionados....
Speakeasy window

Care for a dip?

Now I'm sure you would love to see the interior, right?  Well, time's short today so I'll tell you what ~ how about joining me next Monday for Part Deux?

I promise you....it's worth the wait!  Thanks for stopping by!
