We Shopped The City!

Wow!  Who knew shopping the city could be SO fantastic!  Here I am, "locked and loaded" and ready to embark on a wonderful day ~ not as a "shopper," but as a "vendor!"

If you missed my post about this fabulous event, here's the scoop.  Last Wednesday, Tucson's own Angel Charity for Children sponsored an inaugural event, "Shop the City."  A myriad of vendors who cater to the wants and needs of women, joined forces to put on a great shopping extravaganza, all to benefit the children of Tucson!

Health, beauty, fashion, home decor, jewelry, accessories and more were represented in the University of Arizona ballroom.

I've been working crazily the past few months to prepare, but I could not have pulled it off without the help of my right hand gal, Shotzie....stylist, stager, and sales!

Unpacking and setting up...
Here's are some more pix for you to enjoy....

Lillie was so excited to attend the event and dress up in her Day of the Dead duds!

I'm a lucky mama to have both my girls with me...Kiki came from work to help out as well, and Papa Hess stopped by to check on his ladies.   It was non-stop activity from 3 pm when the doors opened until 8 pm. when they closed.

Sadly, I didn't have a moment, once the festivities began, to get pictures of the other vendors, but they were all wonderful.  Oh, and I didn't even get a chance to shop!

But, it was all worth it....I got to make fabulous new friends, catch up with fantastic old friends, and help a charity that's near and dear to my heart.

Would I do this again?  In a heartbeat!  Thank you, Angels, for inviting me ~  and for all your sisterly love!

And now?  It's back to buzzin' in the Hive as my Holiday Trunk Show is right around the corner....November 10th, from 2 ~ 6 p.m. at Casa Hess.  E-vites go out today!

Have a blessed week my dear friends, and thank you from the bottom of my heart for your visit today!

Simple Pleasures

For me, it's the simple things in life which give me the greatest pleasure ~ family, friends, home cooking, laughter.....to name just a few ~

We were blessed this past week with a visit by our "other family" from Phoenix.  Nancy, Ashley and the twins arrived on Monday.   Kiki and I met up with them at La Encantada....

Ashley had never seen Schotzie "in action" at the MAC store, so this called for a little retail therapy  ~

Then it was time for LUNCH!

We headed up the plaza to North, where we enjoyed scrumptious artisan pizzas, salads, and of course...bologna sandwich ~ a little boy's favorite!

More retail therapy afterwards with a  stop at Mildred & Dildred ~ special awesomeness!!

Family dinner at home that night so Papa Hess could join in the hilarity...the boys made it even more so by arguing as to who would bring PH his drink ~ how cute is that!!

The next morning was glorious and we enjoyed breakfast on the patio...

After breakfast, I promised the boys a demo of flood soldering and stamping, so we headed out to the studio....

The result was a pendant necklace for each! Oh, and the other pendants they're wearing they made here at their last visit....faux druzies!

Then it was off to Gadabout for big boy haircuts!

Lunch at Risky Business ~ and such grown-up boys!

Even simple pleasures come to an end and after hugging and kissing our good-byes, our special family headed back to Phoenix.

Thank you Turner/Roach clan, we love you, loved our visit with you, and can't wait for the next one!

Have an extra-special beautiful week, dear friends, and thank you so much for taking time to visit with me!
